601-602 series
In order to prevent proliferation of the dangerous Legionella germ, responsible for Legionnaire’s disease, tap water heating systems based on the use of immersion heaters have to keep the water at a minimum temperature of 60°, where the germ is unable to survive. However, this is too high a temperature for direct human contact with the water.
Installation of a thermostatic mixing valve is therefore necessary, in order to:
- reduce the temperature of the water coming out of the tap in order to avoid scalding;
- provide a constant temperature irrespective of variations in incoming water pressure and temperature;
- make it impossible for water coming out of the tap to exceed 50°;
- prevent scalding even when plumbing failure means that no incoming cold water is available.
- designed for installation under washbasin, with thermal protection of the single point of use
- temperature adjustable to the desired level and lockable with tamper-proof cover
- with anti-scald safety function in case of cold water supply failure
- by-pass device for thermal disinfection up to the tap
- ready for direct connection to the water tap and the flexible connection pipes
The modern aesthetic appeal of the compact-sized unit, and its shiny chrome finish, mean that it can be fitted externally in the smartest bathroom.
